Many hair related problems like hair loss, rough and dull hair, split ends, dandruff, breakages, prematurely grey hair arise due to lack of proper hair care.

Remember, its normal to lose 100 to 150 starts of hair a day so don’t panic when you see a small bunch crawling across your tiled floor.

Eat healthy food: Eat a well-balanced diet of proper food and consume excess water to prevent hair breakage. Lean proteins, fruits, raw vegetables, whole grains, legumes, omega-3 fatty acids found in salmon or flaxseed oil and dairy products will keep hair healthy.

Use more natural hair care products: Natural products are best for hair. Some natural hair care products like Shikakai, lemon, coconut oil, vinegar etc. are really good for hair.

Proper shampoo: Don’t wash your hair every day and whenever you do, use natural, mild shampoos and conditioners with ingredients like keratin, rosemary, plant proteins, and seaweed extract. Use a conditioner after shampooing to moisturize your hair so as to give it an extra shield, shine, making it less static and easier to untangle. Rinse the conditioner off with cold water as it is good for both strength and shine.

Comb your hair properly: Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle wet hair instead of brushing it. Sharp toothcombs can damage your hair, cause split ends, and rub your scalp. Comb wet hair with extreme care because they’re fragile and prone to breakage.

Drying your hair: Dry your hair with minimal heat, as extreme heat will damage most hair. Lessen the frequency or intensity of heat used from blow dryers, flat irons, and curling irons.

Trimming: Trim your every regularly in few weeks to get rid of those brown and rough split ends. Cut about 1/4th an inch of your hair every 6 to 8 weeks to avoid the split ends to grow out again.

Extra care for dry hair: If you’ve got dry hair then it’s best to avoid coloring. However, if you can’t resist that gorgeous shade of brown, especially under the winter sun then follow this clever advise shared on the blog Free People. Use lemon, and chamomile tea as they work as great hair lighteners. You can add lemon juice to water and spray it over your hair when you’re heading out. You can rinse your hair with brewed chamomile tea after you wash them with shampoo or add honey to the water you use to wash your hair.

For dandruff: Massage the scalp with pure coconut oil to promote hair growth. Apply hot coconut oil with small onions for about 20 minutes. Wash it off with a mixture of green gram powder and water drained from cooked (boiled) rice.
